There are a few simple exercises that you can do to stretch and tone the muscle and skin around your neck. This will allow you to shed fat in that area. The first simple exercise to lose weight in this region is performed from a seated position. Rotate your head to the right for as far as it can go. Pause briefly and rotate it in the opposite direction. Do three to five sets and take a break. Relax in the seat for at least 15 minutes before repeating the exercise or attempting to get up. This exercise should be done with care, so you do not hurt your vertebrae. It may also cause dizziness. If done on a daily basis the exercise will help you lose weight in your neck and tone the skin so that it looks healthy.
The next exercise to lose weight under the chin is similar to the first one. Sit down in the chair that will keep your spine straight. Placing your hands on your thighs, move your head upward till you are staring at your ceiling. Pause in this position for a count of ten. Then, return your head to its original position. Repeat this procedure for the next ten minutes. When done on a daily basis, this exercise will help you lose weight in the jaw line area of your neck.
The other exercise to slim down your neck is slightly different. Assume the lotus position on the floor. Lift your hand straight up in the air with the palms facing inward. While you are still in an upright position, fold the hand over your head and grasp the ear on the opposite side. You only need to place your palm on the ear, so do not pinch. Once you have done this, apply slight pressure using your hand, so that you feel the muscle on your neck stretching. Return to the original position and repeat for the other side.
When seated on the computer you should stretch your head and keep it in an upright position. You must also move your head to the left and right from time to time. These movements stimulate blood flow to the neck and help you lose weight in that area. Furthermore, they reduce the strain on the neck muscles, so that you feel relaxed even as you work on the computer.
