Our kids are growing – no, really growing. Big. The statistics are scary and so is the outlook for the future if they continue. A 2006 NHS study found that 16 per cent of children aged 2 to 15 in England were classed as obese, an overall increase of 5 per cent since 1995.
It is not just the children, entire families are eating too much processed food that is high in fat, sugar and salt, not eating their five serves of fruit and veg a day and not doing enough physical activity. The key to staying loosing weight (and keeping it off) as a teen is simple. The problem is many teenagers carry the same bad habits they picked up in highschool and college into their adult lives and this poses serious health risks down the road.
