Some want to have that slim abs, others want that washboard abs or the chiseled abs. Regardless of what others call it, they are all pertaining to one common goal, and is encountering a common struggle.</p>
<p>That is, to do Ab exercises that almost all people hate. However, there are ways that can be done in order to do that exercise, and having fun in the process.<span id="more-537"></span></p>
<p>The first step in achieving the ultimate goal of having six pack abs is to <strong>understand it and how to get it</strong>. There are 2 factors involved in this, which are the ab muscle itself, and the belly fat that is covering that muscle. Thus, there are also 2 major steps that should be done. These are: 1) Strengthen the ab muscles, make them firm and big; 2) Lose that stubborn and unwanted belly fat that is covering them in order to show the ab muscles.</p>
<p><strong>Strengthening the ab muscles includes ab exercises</strong>. This will aid in developing that chiseled abs that people are dreaming of, and at the same time helps in losing fat. Certain exercises that can be done are Circular Leg Lifts, Chair Holds, Abdominal Jumps, and exercises that can be done by using the fitness ball. These exercises focus in strengthening the body’s core.</p>
<p>The second step, which is<strong> losing the belly fat</strong>, is the simplest yet the hardest part of the process. There is no shortcut in doing this, and there is no exercise that can target only the abs. Losing the belly fat is simply, losing fat. The best way in dropping fat and revealing the six pack abs is by doing cardio. Ab exercises will strengthen the ab muscles and make them bigger, diet will help in increasing your metabolism to burn calories, and cardio is best to simply burn up the calories.</p>
<p>Below are some easy ways that can be done to start doing cardio on a regular basis.</p>
<p>Choose something that is convenient for you. You can either do swimming, or just do jogging, whichever fits your schedule. If you do not have time to go out, then you can also do some light kettlebell swings at home.</p>
<p><strong>Be sure to have fun</strong>!</p>
<p>Exercises are hard to do especially if you are just starting. Find ways that will make that exercise fun for you. You can listen to music while working out, exercise and do something that you enjoy, track your progress and brag about it to your friends, etc… As long as you enjoy what you are doing, then you will have no reason to stop doing it.</p>
<p>Add the activity in your schedule. Either it will be your daily schedule, or your weekly schedule, as long as you add it in the beginning of the day or week. If people will try to invite you for drinks or to hang out, be religious in your schedule and just say “No.”</p>
<p>Pain is not necessarily a sign that what you are doing is right. If you are in pain, then you cannot continue your workout. Having no pain or sore is a good sign. You can then slowly increase the intensity for you to lose more fat.</p>
<p>All these exercises are really hard at first, but realize that by continuing to do this will eventually help you reach your goal. Just have fun while doing it. This increases your motivation, since the sense of being forced to do the exercises will be replaced with the fun that you are having while doing the exercises.</p>

Going to the gym or repeating  the same neighborhood routes can cause mental fatigue that works against your  motivation to lose weight and stay healthy. Weight loss doesn’t have to be  boring, so try some of the following ways to have fun with your active  lifestyle.<span id="more-465"></span></p>
<p><strong>Borrow a Page from the Playground</strong></p>
<p>Play tag at the park or even in your own front yard if there’s  enough space. If you have kids, they’ll enjoy chasing you and being chased, so  it’s a great way to spend some quality family time while keeping your weight in  check. You can even call your friends and schedule some time to play tag with  other adults, too. Another option is to grab a friend (or a bunch of friends)  and play basketball, soccer, or tennis. Competition is always fun, and you can  raise the stakes by making the loser pay for or make a healthy lunch like Greek  salad or grilled chicken stir fry.</p>
<p><strong>Get Out There</strong></p>
<p>Pack a healthy picnic lunch, then take a bike ride, go hiking, or  canoe/kayak for the rest of the morning. Being out in the sun and fresh air  makes everything seem like more fun, and you’ll definitely enjoy seeing some  beautiful scenery, especially if you choose to go somewhere you haven’t been  yet. All of these activities can get your heart rate up while improving your  mood and making you smile.</p>
<p><strong>Just Dance</strong></p>
<p>If you’re frustrated and stressed, turn on some of your favorite  music and dance it out. If you’re not a dancer, you can find some inexpensive  DVDs to help you learn exercise moves that mimic dancing. Once you learn some  moves, you can improvise whenever you need to get rid of stress, so don’t even  think about eating that cookie.</p>
<p><strong>Check Out Power Yoga</strong></p>
<p>Power yoga, also called Ashtanga, vinyasa, or flow yoga, gets your  heart rate up and keeps it there to help you lose weight. This type of yoga  emphasizes strength and flexibility, keeping chanting and meditation very  minimized and making sure that you lose fat and build muscle. It’s easy to find  a class near you because power yoga has become a popular way to get exercise  and maintain a healthy weight, but be sure to read difficulty level  descriptions carefully so you’ll know which level is best for you.</p>

<p>Nike ad campaign promoting their treadmills is one of those campaigns that just can&#8217;t help inspiring.</p>
<p>They have placed interactive billboards around the world. In each billboard anyone could run a built-in treadmill. For every kilometer run, Nike promised to donate a certain amount to UNICEF. Fun, no?<span id="more-83"></span></p>

<li><strong>Dance!</strong> I simply love dancing and I believe that&#8217;s a best workout ever invented. It is fun to learn new dance styles weekly or monthly to never get bored and I guess I need to list some cool ways to find new dancing tutorials online (good plan!).</li>
<li><strong>Go gardening!</strong> You get double benefit here: fresh air and exercise. And besides, you make this planet better by caring for its plants (OK, 3 benefits already);</li>
<li><strong>Go hiking</strong>: workout, plenty of fresh (traffic-free) air and new beautiful places every day &#8211; can&#8217;t wait when I have my vacation already!</li>
<li><strong>Try shell collecting</strong>: if you are with your significant one, this one is also romantic!</li>
<li><strong>Simply walk more</strong>. A good way to turn this one into fun is to take your camera with you and find new places daily where you think you can get amazing photos: urban scenes, people, nature, etc.</li>
<li><strong>Start traveling!</strong> Do you know that skiing, for example, is one of the greatest workouts you could ever dream of? Try <a href="http://www.fasttrackski.co.uk/ " target="_blank"> ski holidays</a> for example and you are sure to see your general health and mood improve greatly after that experience.</li>
</ol>
<p>There are many more of course but why not start with the simplest and most enjoyable ones? So no excuse for waiting any longer &#8211; just start your new fit life today!</p>
