How to Lose Weight by Eating More Often
Many people are carrying a few extra pounds that they would like to get rid of and would love to know how how to lose weight. We are inundated every day with different weight loss plans, pills, shakes and many more. However, sometimes the simplest things can be the best. Everyone knows that if you eat fewer calories and exercise more you can lose weight. In addition, many people do not realize that just by eating more meals in a day you could also increase your weight loss.
The body does not have a set clock to tell it when to burn calories. The body functions by receiving energy from calories as you take them in. Also, any calories the body cannot burn off are then stored for later use. If you are unable to burn off these excess calories they will turn to body fat. This is how most people put on extra weight. They eat three large meals a day and take in way too many calories for the body to burn.
There is a way to combat this. By spreading your meals out and eating more of them throughout the day instead of the traditional breakfast, lunch, and dinner. By eating 5 to 6 smaller meals throughout the day you will introduce the optimal amount of calories for your body’s energy. Many people eat a small breakfast, then a small mid-day meal, reasonable lunch, small mid-afternoon meal, and finally a reasonable dinner.
Another problem with eating three large meals a day is the fact that it encourages snacking. Many people start to get hungry between meals and make a trip to the fridge or the snack machine. Also, the snacks that people do eat are usually very unhealthy leading to extra calories and fat. This is why it is important to plan your meals throughout the day. Having a set meal plan will eliminate snacking while providing your body with small healthy meals to give yourself the energy to make it through a day.
So forget all those diet fads and expensive meal plans advertised on television. With small simple changes to your daily habits you can greatly increase your weight loss. Easy weight loss does not have to include starving yourself or spending tons of money searching for magic pills. Just remember to eat more often throughout the day and plan your meals accordingly. This will limit the snacking and you will start to see your waistline shrinking in no time.
