Exercising With Glasses

Glasses are a fantastic invention there is no doubt about that but when it comes to exercising it would seem that they can be a bit of a pain in the ass. What can you do if you want to go out for a run and you are short sighted?

Take Them Off

Many people when off out on runs will simply take the glasses off and do it this way. Although this I more than possible with many people it doesn’t help the people that are short sighted as they will simply risk their health by running into things.

Try A Cap

If you cannot go without glasses when you step out for a run and know that as soon as you pick up the pace you are going to see them drop off the end of your nose and smash onto the ground then perhaps you could try putting on a baseball cap and going out for a run. There are many people that actually care what they look like when they are out doing exercise in public and to be honest with you, no one is going to care, so put the cap on to avoid smashed glasses. The problem with this comes if you get hot because sweat will end up getting in your eyes and you will not be able to see anyway.

Lenses

If a cap isn’t your style or perhaps it still isn’t working then you need to look into contact lenses. Now contact lenses are expensive but the fact is you are not going to be wearing them all of the time which means costs will be put down to a bare minimum. You know that nothing is going to happen to your precious glasses if you are wearing contacts which are why many people seem to choose this one as the best way of exercising when short sighted. However there are many problems with contacts and some people simply cannot adjust to them.

Surgery

This does sound a bit extreme but if you are running every single day of your life you are soon going to be spending a lot of money on contacts, why not save a bit of money and get your eyes fixed. Many people think that this is the best way to go about doing things but it does come up major costs to you. On top of this it would seem that the consultation process is a very long one so expect a lot of time and money to be spent here.

The fact is that just because you have glasses it doesn’t mean that you cannot go out for a run every day like everyone else. Take a look at one of these options and get running!
