Exercises That Will Lead to a Cellulite-Free Body

Feb17

Cellulite-freeCertainly, cellulite is not a good sight to behold, especially if you are looking at the mirror at your own body. It can also be a cause of low self esteem during your beach escapades, especially if the affected regions, such as the thighs and arms, are always exposed. Cellulite refers to the topographical changes in the skin commonly found among females in the post pubertal phase.

It typically occurs in women characterized by dimpling with the presence of nodules in the abdomen, upper thigh, lower thigh and arms. The main cause of cellulite occurrence is the herniation of fats to a connective tissue, which results in an appearance similar to peelings. There is no definite reason for the occurrence of cellulite. However, factors such as hormonal changes, genetics, diet and lifestyle have been attributed to this skin condition.

If you are struck by cellulite, do not become despondent. While there are many products on the market that promise to get rid of cellulite, the best approach to getting rid of these unwanted marks is through exercises. Exercising is a natural way for your body to get rid of any toxins which may contribute to the production of cellulite in your body.

It is important to address your cellulite issue in the beginning phase (the phase when cellulites are less visible) by performing active exercises to keep your muscles constantly moving. The duration and the intensity of the exercise may vary from one person to another. Here are some simple exercises to get rid of cellulite.

Walking

Walk along a track you know is safe and can give you adequate fresh air. Make sure to stay upright on your torso as you walk. Brace your abs and sway your arms alongside you in accordance to the rhythm of your walking. Make sure you do it naturally if you don’t want to end up looking like a robot. Perform three times a week for 30 to 45 minutes per session.

Jogging

Another important exercise to get rid of cellulite would be jogging. Jogging is the point between intensity walking and light running. Jogging can be performed by running at a leisurely pace without exerting yourself as with running. The main purpose is to stay fit and maintain cardio endurance. When jogging, maintain proper form by staying upright on your torso, brace your abs, keep your head up, look forward and land on the balls of your feet. Perform twice a week for 30 to 45 minutes per session.

Squats

As a part of your regiment to get rid of cellulite, you can also perform body weight training exercises such as squats. Squats are well known to build body endurance, muscle toning and strength. Perform this exercise by keeping your legs shoulder-width apart and by putting your arms on your sides. This is the starting position. Squat down until your legs are almost parallel to the floor. Perform a hip thrust to push yourself to the starting position. Do 12 to 15 squats for one set. Consider one set as a session or complete additional sets at your own discretion. Perform this activity three to four times a week.
