Are Celebrities Making A Big Difference On The Way People Eat?

Mar10

weight loss celebritiesIt is true to say that, A list celebrities have a bit of a following. Take celebrities like Angelina Jolie for an example. There are hundreds if not thousands of people that are very interested in every single move that she makes which in my mind is actually slightly disturbing.

Angelina Jolie is the perfect size really, she isn’t overweight but by no means is she underweight so in terms of fitness and diet I imagine she eats pretty well which means her “followers” are going to be doing the same kind of thing.

On the other hand a celebrity doing all of the wrong things are going to have a direct influence on the amount of people that in return are making mistakes in their life. Let’s take someone like Victoria Beckham who we all know is incredibly thin and has been her entire life.

In the past Victoria has actually said that she chews here food a lot slower so that she can feel a lot fuller which of course then has the knock on effect of eating a lot less. This is not really the kind of tip you want to be giving out to the public, she still has many fans who will take this into consideration when they are eating. Other celebrities that have troubles with their weight include Keira Knightley, Courtney Love and of course Nicole Richie (although she seems to have sorted herself out now).

Do They Think Of Their Fans?

Many celebrities do actually know how many people they effect and they really do consider everything when getting up in the morning. However, on the opposite end of the spectrum you will find that many celebrities couldn’t really give a damn about her fans and if they drop a bit of weight then the only thing that bothers them is if the reflection in the mirror is looking better or worse because of it.

Is it always the fault of the stars themselves?

Of course it isn’t, many film producers will look at the star and say “great you have the part, now lose a couple of stone”. The celebrity will start dieting for this role and it will then get publicised over magazines and newspapers and the fans will start doing this themselves. This is not healthy for you at all so do not do it! Some producers have even made stars watch videos of their own actions and pointed out the fat parts of their body, a very demoralising thing indeed.

So What Is The Lesson Here?

One of the main things to learn from this is that a celebrity is not like you and I, sometimes they have to actually diet to fit into a film role they are going after and sometimes they do it because they have a problem. The best advice that I can give you is to eat three meals a day and a couple of snacks along with plenty of exercise but without going too far. By following this, you will ensure that your body is just the right size that it needs to be and you will not get dangerously thin or of course morbidly obese.

The guest post is by Ryan who is a keen internet marketer who represents a new audi site who also specialize in new BMW. He has a lot of respect for people that keep their body in shape but believes that going too far simply because a celebrity does it is wrong.

  • I agree with Tony. Its not down to the celebrities to set an example for young girls, its up to them how they want to look. Although, some of them are very skinny, too skinny in my opinion.

  • On one hand its a celebrities choice what they look like and they shouldn't have the responsibility of their followers copying their eating habits, its not their fault. I believe that in the public eye there is a lot of pressure on you to look thin but this is all down to the media. If a celebrity is caught at the beach with an inch of fat on them they are scrutinized, no wonder young women and girls feel this pressure too.
