<p>Unfortunately, majority of us finds it difficult to meet the average daily fruit consumption to supply our body with vitamins, enzymes and phytochemicals that is needed for the body to function at its best. Add to that the fact that most of us maintain a horrible diet that does not meet our body’s nutritional requirement and can also lead to serious illness like diabetes, low immune system, heart problems and more.<br />
But the good news is, we can easily provide our bodies with the needed vitamins and minerals by drinking fresh fruits and vegetables.<br />
Fresh fruits and vegetables offer a lot of health benefits and among them are:</p>

<li>Preserves the vitamins and minerals. Juicing preserves the enzymes in the fruits and vegetables that are lost with cooking making the body absorb the nutrients faster and better.</li>

<p><span id="more-1241"></span>However, while following diets, one should refrain from the mistakes that are commonly committed especially choosing the right kinds of food. Wheat has been proven as the food that contributes towards weight gain.</p>
<p>It has always been believed that eating a toasted slice of whole wheat is a healthier option when compared to Snickers bar or a soft drink. However, the hard fact is that the wheat bread increases the blood sugar more than the soda and candy bars.</p>
<p>The reason being, the glycemic index also known as GI is higher, and it provokes the food to raise the blood sugar. If your blood sugar goes high after eating, a large amount of insulin is released. As a result, excess fat gets accumulated in the body. There are eight reasons listed below that proves that wheat is not apt for weight loss.</p>
<p><strong>1. Wheat eaters tend to eat more: </strong>Have you ever analyzed that you tend to feel hungrier and go on hunting for snacks even after eating heavy grain breakfast at 7 in the morning? The surge in insulin and glucose and subsequent drops in blood sugar that is followed by consuming wheat makes you feel hungry in every 2 hours irrespective of whether your body needs the food or not. The hunger will be present all throughout the day in the form of light night munching, afternoon slumps, and cravings before lunch. You may feel like eating constantly due to consumption of carbs based out of wheat.</p>

Wheat contributes towards stimulating your appetite that makes you eat more and more of wheat foods. And, when you stop consuming those foods, your body will have symptoms of withdrawal. Soon after the entry into the brain, the compounds of wheat start binding in the brain’s receptors. These receptors produce a mild euphoria. Switch to lean meat instead of wheat foods:</strong> By eating lean meat as well as raw vegetables instead of wheat based and processed foods, you can enjoy better sleep, your mood will be more stable, and you feel more energetic than before. Wheat has no significance, when it comes to gaining energy in body. Gluten free foods have been considered to be more harmful as they only sound healthier. <p><strong>5. Wheat has high calories:</strong> The biggest reason for gaining more weight due to consumption of wheat is because of the fact that they are not low in calories. Most people are not aware of this fact and they try to consume more of whole wheat that comes in the way of weight loss. Whole wheat products can also be high in added sugar, when compared to products that are made out of refined white flour. Storage of visceral fat:</strong> Wheat contains a kind of sugar known as amylopectin that is solely responsible for accumulating visceral fat in the body that appears as deep fat surrounding organs. <p><span id="more-1231"></span>Happily, the cause can be easily remedied. None of us want to be faced with the choice of losing weight or losing the chance of attracting the right person in our lives.</p>
<p>That’s why you should take a closer look at what a low carb (carbohydrate) diet program does to your body chemistry, changing the pheromones that nature intended to attract the opposite sex.</p>
<p><strong>Low Carb Diets’ Link to Unpleasant Odors</strong></p>
<p>A low carb diet restricts the amount of bread, pasta, legumes and fruits you can eat, and replaces them with high proteins as the main food source. The infamous Atkins Diet is known for its high protein, low carbs, and successful short-term weight loss. The Atkins Diet flips the natural order of eating upon its head. Instead, dense proteins such as dairy, poultry, beef, and seafood are eaten at every meal.  Although the diet allows you to burn calories faster each day by as much as 80-100 calories, it is at a social cost.</p>
<p>When fats and protein form major portions of a meal with only a small selection of water based vegetables, namely: celery, watercress, and iceberg lettuce, your body is forced to convert fat for fuel, rather than carbs. As fat is metabolized, ketones are produced and build up in the body. Most are excreted in the urine while the rest are eliminated through the pores of the skin and mouth, often with a pungent odor.</p>
<p>This interferes with any romantic overtures hoped for from the opposite sex.</p>
<p><strong>Pheromones: Link to Mating</strong></p>
<p>Pheromones are chemical molecules produced by humans (and animals) to stimulate, for the most part, sexual attraction to the opposite sex.</p>
<p>We tend to forget the emotional impact certain foods have in the way we develop instant attraction or dislike for someone; and this response has much to do with unconscious aroma cues guiding us along the choices we make every day. The chemistry of food and its effect on the brain is the reason why chocolate for example, is a widely known aphrodisiac; garlic a known deterrent. The sense of smell is part of nature’s secret weapon, working with the brain to evoke powerful, instinctive emotions.</p>
<p>Undoubtedly smell affects human behavior; now, imagine your diet giving off the wrong chemical signals, changing the way nature designed it to function.</p>
<p><strong>Reaching a Compromise with your Diet Plan </strong></p>
<p>If your low carb diet is working for you—don’t give it up—compromise! It is too difficult to find a diet that produces results, only to quit because of its interference with your love life.  Be smart about how you approach your diet by making small changes.</p>
<ul>
<li>Try switching to another popular low carb diet, such as the South Beach diet, which gives more allowance for carbohydrates, and is better balanced</li>
<li> Stay hydrated, drink 8 to 12 glasses (8 ounces) of water daily</li>
<li> Take care of mouth odors by flossing, brushing, and gargling</li>
</ul>
<p>In the end, a more realistic long-term way of losing weight is through a diet program that incorporates a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts, fiber, and protein with less coming from animal sources. And don’t forget to count calories; it’s the most basic way of knowing whether you had too much food for the day.</p>

<p>If you&#8217;ve felt particularly tired lately, have had marked skin issues or more aches and pains than usual, a detox could be just what the doctor ordered to get everything back in line.</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t have to do the Master Cleanse diet to detox your body (you can only &#8220;eat&#8221; a drink mixture of lemonade, maple syrup and cayenne pepper). There are many different approaches to cleaning out your system, and some are more gradual, lifestyle choices while others go for the shock approach. It&#8217;s a matter of taking the time to figure out what is right for you and your body.</p>
<p>Before you start a cleanse, though, know that you&#8217;re going to be <a href="http://www.in-our-kitchen.com/category/kitchen-apps/">eliminating all your bad habits</a> for however long you decide to do a cleanse (&#8220;shock treatments&#8221; are usually between a long weekend and a week) &#8211; that means coffee, smoking, alcohol, refined sugars, saturated fats. All that ick.</p>
<p>Your body will thank you for it at the end of things.</p>
<h3 id="toc-eat-greens">Eat Greens</h3>
<p>Really, you shouldn&#8217;t be surprised at this point how important greens are to your body. Your mother told you to eat your veggies for a reason &#8211; did you know that there&#8217;s actually evidence that broccoli and cauliflower eaten regularly can protect you from lung cancer?</p>
<p>That&#8217;s beside the point, though. There are a number of leafy greens out there that can help your body naturally detox. Some of them may sound a bit out there, buy anything that you can get your hands on that is chlorophyll rich will help rid your body of a lot of harmful environmental toxins, including smog, heavy metals, herbicides and pesticides. These veggies can also help the liver detox:</p>
<ul>
<li>blue green algae</li>
<li>barley</li>
<li>wheatgrass</li>
<li>kale</li>
<li>spinach</li>
<li>alfalfa</li>
<li>arugula</li>
</ul>
<p>And for these to actually have an effect on helping to detoxify your body, they need to not be a product of pesticides and herbicides themselves, meaning, you should get these leafy veggies and make sure they are <em>organic</em>.</p>
<h3 id="toc-shock-diet">Shock Diet</h3>
<p>There are a lot of different ways to shock your body into action when it comes to detox. This is what most people think of when they think &#8220;detox&#8221; &#8211; fasting or juice diets, or the Master Cleanse, or a combination of all of those principles, somehow.</p>
<p>The most important thing to realize with this kind of detox is that it is <em>not</em> a long term weight loss solution, it&#8217;s a way to get the toxins out of your body, to cleanse all your tubes and give your system a kickstart.</p>
<p>Even if you&#8217;re drinking a lot of water during this detox process (or juice, depending on what you choose to do) most of the weight that you lose is going to be water weight &#8211; which will yo-yo back when you stop your cleanse.</p>
<p>If you go into the process of a detox diet with the outlook that you&#8217;re doing it for the further health of your body (and <em>not</em> to lose weight) then you&#8217;re going into it with the right perspective.</p>
<h3 id="toc-sweat-it-out">Sweat It Out</h3>
<p>There is another time-tested, pretty amazing way to get the toxins out of your body &#8211; sweat, and a lot of it.</p>
<p>That can mean either regular exercise that gets you sweaty &#8211; which is probably part of the reason we&#8217;ve seen a rise in hot yoga studios over the years &#8211; or going to a sauna if you&#8217;re looking for something both more immediate and less active.</p>

<p>Just look at the food that is readily available and is perfect for someone who has a busy work schedule along with the calorie that it contains:</p>
<ul>
<li>Blueberry Muffin – 360 calories</li>
<li>Caramel Macchiato – 180 calories</li>
<li>Cheeseburger – 226 calories</li>
<li>Snickers Bar – 160 calories</li>
</ul>
<p>Just imagine how many calories you are consuming everyday when your diet consists of foods like the ones mentioned above which can easily lead to weight gain and other health problems like high cholesterol and sugar level.<br />
But there are ways that one can follow to start eating healthy even when at work and here are a few tips:</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Start your day with a healthy breakfast</strong>. As what they always say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Eat healthy and heavy meal during breakfast so you have the energy to start your busy day. At least you will not starve right away that you will easily be tempted to get food from the vendo machine or grab the blueberry muffin in the pantry.</li>
<li><strong>Bring packed lunch</strong>. If you bring your own food, you can make healthier food choices and you can dictate the portion of your food.  You can bring soups, salad, yogurt, sandwiches and the like which you can prepare the night before to bring to work.</li>
<li><strong>Load your drawers with healthy snack items that you can eat in between meals</strong>. You can bring in cashews, nuts, celery stick, fruits and the like that you can easily grab and eat when you feel hungry. This way, you will be able to avoid getting food from the vendo machine which contains food like chips, candies, processed foods and the like that are unhealthy and is loaded with sugar.</li>
<li><strong>Make healthier food choices when ordering for takeout or delivery</strong>. There are days when you really can’t stay away from takeout or delivery because of your busy work schedule. But you can still eat healthy by scanning at the menu and making healthier food choices. Stay away from fried food or food rich in fat, salt and sugar. Lean meat, fish, vegetables and the like can be easily ordered for take out and delivery and are healthier alternatives compared to cheeseburger and fries from fast food stores.</li>
<li><strong>If possible, eat away from your desk</strong>. Have lunch in the pantry or cafeteria so you can stay away from the work that can distract you. This way you can concentrate on the food and can avoid overeating. Walking to a nearby restaurant or even to the pantry is also a perfect opportunity to do a little exercise especially for those who spend almost the entire day sitting in front of the computer.</li>
</ol>
<p>Life in the office can be stressful and stress can really affect the way we eat. But by simply following the tips mentioned above, you are already doing baby steps to start eating healthy while at work.</p>

<p>It has a database of over 1 million food, so a dieter can just enter his or her food intake per meal and My Fitness Pal will give the total calorie that food contains. It also allows one to enter the different exercise done to burn fat for a more accurate computation of calorie intake.</p>
<p>To lose weight, the formula is just simple – count your calories and exercise regularly. Calorie Counting Diet indeed offers an individual the opportunity for a healthy diet plan that one can easily maintain.</p>

<p>Before anything else, you should always remember that this meal plan will not be very successful if you do not have self-control, discipline and a goal.  You will need these three key ingredients for the daily meal plan to be successful.</p>
<p>SELF CONTROL</p>
<p>You should be able to control yourself to follow and eat only what is in our daily diet meal plan to lose of maintain a healthy weight.  There are tons of temptations in our planet that is why being able to control yourself can lead you to good results!</p>
<p>DISCIPLINE</p>
<p>In the office, at home or in any place, food will be available.  There is nothing wrong if you’re in a party and you want to eat the foods which are not in our meal plan as long as you have discipline.  A little bite of cupcake won’t hurt as long as you know when to stop or how much you should be eating.</p>
<p>GOAL</p>
<p>You must have a goal – it’s either you want to lose weight or maintain a healthy body.  Without a goal or a purpose, you wouldn’t know where you are supposed to be heading or if you are failing.</p>
<p>Daily Diet Meal Plan</p>
<p>Monday, Wednesday and Friday</p>
<p>Breakfast: [Half cup Cooked Oats, 175ml Yoghurt, 1 Green Apple] or [Half cup Low Fat Muesli, 1 cup Milk, 2 Plums]<br />

<p>Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday</p>
<p>Breakfast: Half cup Bran Flakes, Half cup Low Fat Milk, 1 Medium-sized Banana</p>
<p>Lunch: 1 Medium Pita Bread, 1 Tin Tuna in Brine, Salad, 2 tbsp Lite Mayo</p>
<p>Snack: Any Fruit and 175ml Yoghurt</p>
<p>Dinner: Chicken (White Meat), Lean Meat, Salmon cooked in olive oil or roasted, Salad and a cup of mixed fruits</p>
<p>SUNDAY could be your “cheat” day! Moreover, make sure that you drink more than 8 glasses of water every single day!</p>
